Rock Climbing

We purchased some rock climbing gear a while back so we've been trying to go as much as we can--which isn't a lot;)  Daryl and I had gone climbing a bit before we met but when we lived in Utah we used to go to an indoor climbing gym in Provo.

A couple Saturdays ago we went climbing with some friends and left the kids at home.  But this Saturday Daryl REALLY wanted to take Evelyn so I of course came a long with my side kick Jane.  It turned out that Jane was the one who did most of the climbing!  Sometimes at home we put her in the climbing harness and swing her around so maybe that is why she was so comfortable!  She was quite the spectacle when she climbed and made us some friends with a group of climbers so Daryl and I could take turns climbing with someone else belaying us so we could watch the girls separately.  It was such a fun family day outside!  Check out Jane's video below.

It also made me wonder if we ever have a boy will he be as adventurous as our girls?  Or will he be scared of everything.  Don't think Daryl could ask for better girls to keep him company in the mean while!

The Kelly Family!

Jane climbed all the way to the top!  An 18 month old's climbing dream.  Hope she doesn't try to scale the kitchen cabinets.

Proud of myself since the guy before me barely made it to the top

Snapshots

I remember when I was a kid one entire day felt like a year, now I feel like the days go by like minutes.  We have been enjoying June with swimming, new animals, visits with family, and simple summer days that I love the most.

Evelyn mowing the weeds--she was very proud of herself and her panties;)

King of the mountain
I found Evelyn outside singing and dancing to the cows one morning.  Good practice with such a big audience.
Showing Grandpa Jones the goats
We have two new kitty's Ruby and Dewby.  They are hilarious and very adventurous!  When My Dad came to visit they snuck in the hood of his car and drove the hour and half drive to Tri-cities.  They survived thankfully and we just got them back yesterday.  Evelyn is holding the boy kitty Dewby.

Wheelbarrow rides down the hill.  I heard a shrieking scream followed by giggling.

My Mom always buys vanilla cones for the girls.  Jane thinks it is the best treat in the world.
Wagon ride compliments of Grandma Kelly
Uncle Shayne and Aunt Kortneigh stopped by after Shayne took the MCAT in Seattle.  They helped Evelyn release her butterflies.  We watched them go from caterpillar untill they hatched as monarch butterflies.

Life keeps moving, but I love when I can capture a moment of rest!
